Krysten Dae

"I have been tattooing professionally since 2008, after getting my start at a shop in the Midwest shortly after graduating high school. I fell in love with tattooing but took a long road to making it my profession after eventually finding myself in the Pacific Northwest. I respect the magic of tattooing daily and I am truly grateful to be one of the lucky few who can get paid for doing what they love. Tattooing inspires me, challenges me, humbles me, and enables me to provide for my family. I owe my life to the craft and to the badass clients I get to meet along the way. My specialties are in Japanese and American traditional style tattooing, but I am open to all ideas and enjoy other styles. I own and operate Hold Fast Tattoo in Port Townsend, WA. I also make regular trips to Seattle to guest spot at Hidden Hand Tattoo in Fremont."

Creating your Tattoo:

For larger, multi-session pieces a consultation is usually preferred, but it's often not necessary for smaller, one-shot tattoos. At the consultation you can discuss your ideas with Krysten and she will take a tracing of the area of your body to be tattooed. After the consultation she will make a custom drawing for you. You will not be emailed previews or finished drawings. If at your tattoo appointment changes are necessary, they can usually be made on the spot, no problem! Changes to drawings are often part of the process. Speak your mind and feel free to ask clarifying questions!

For your tattoo appointment:

Please arrive clean, well-rested, sober, and pretty please no perfumes or fragrances! Be sure you arrive with a full stomach to stay fueled up for getting tattooed. Your body needs fuel for the process!
